Have you thought about installing a stonework patio for your Door County home but just haven’t? I totally get it. It’s the project that got away. But don’t worry, that’s where I can help!
Why Would I Want a Stonework Patio?
Of course, it seems like every house here in Door County has a pressure-treated wood deck to blend in with our naturally beautiful landscape. But there are plenty of reasons to opt for a stonework patio in addition to your wood deck.
Most natural stone is fire-resistant and doesn’t require sealing. In fact, natural stone pavers are a low-maintenance choice for a patio. Whereas wood decks need constant resanding, restaining/painting, and annual resealing. Those costs add up.
Stone pavers make a beautiful, durable patio whether it’s for storing cut firewood or enjoying a backyard barbeque during the late summer. If you want an accessible space for outdoor events, stone pavers are the perfect choice.

Door County Stonework Patio Project
Just recently one of your Door County neighbors hired me for a stonework patio project. But what is the process?
First, we decide where the natural stone patio should be. Next, we choose the pavers. Then I lay it out, ensuring it’s square and level, and dig out the space. Next up is framing the rectangular space and more leveling. The base layer of sand is the final step before placing the pavers.
Placing the stonework is the fun part. Sure it’s a bit of heavy work, but this is where your vision comes alive and that is incredibly rewarding. Just knowing you’re going to enjoy a little bit more of your family home makes my heart smile.
Let’s Get Started on Your Project!
As long as the ground is thawed enough, we can start and complete your stonework patio in no time.
In fact, we still have great weather through mid-October to get going on your patio project so that you can enjoy the last BBQ of the summer – you know, when the tourists are gone.
Let’s schedule an appointment and talk about your Door County project today!
